Greek Yoghurt Recipes to Die for!
Yoghurt Recipes to Die For!
Greek yoghurt is really hitting the market right now and with good reason too! It is extremely healthy, contains much more protein than regular yoghurt and have I mentioned that it tastes heavenly!? The only problem one might find is using it in different ways and using it to the fullest!
Following are a few recipes made with our very own Gourmet Greek Yoghurt which is made the traditional Greek way and contains many nutrients and has so many health benefits!
1.Honey, Figs and Greek Yoghurt Breakfast Mug

This breakfast is perfect for those mornings where you are too busy to make a full farmers breakfast and want to quickly put something together! It is easy to make, tastes divine and packed with protein, healthy fats, fresh fruit and sweet honey!

This recipe makes 4 Servings.

250g Home Made Granola (or store bought if you do not have homemade)
2 cups of our delicious Gourmet Greek Low Fat, Plain Yoghurt
1/2 cup shaved almonds
4 fresh figs
honey (to taste)
Instructions:
Prepare my your homemade Granola.
For each serving, spoon 1/2 cup Greek yogurt into a bowl. Top with as much granola as you'd like, along with a tablespoon or two of shaved toasted coconut.
Slice the figs and place on top of the granola and yogurt.
Drizzle on some honey, and enjoy!
Quick, easy and delicious!
2.Garden Veggie Dip

Whether you are having a small social or just want to snack on something, this dip is perfect for any occasion! It is healthy, it is delicious and it works with almost anything!

Ingredients:
1.5 cups light sour cream
1/2 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder or dried minced onion
1/4 tsp dried dill
1/2 tsp sea salt
2 TBSP fresh chopped parsley
2 TBSP fresh chopped green onion plus extra to taste
1/4 cup finely grated carrot (approx. 1/2 a carrot)
1/4 cup chopped broccoli florets
Instructions:
For the carrot, shred using the fine side of your favorite cheese grater, it's super easy!
For the broccoli, use kitchen scissors or a pairing knife to remove just the tippity top of the florets (no stems whatsoever) from the broccoli.
Combine all ingredients and mix.
Adjust seasoning to taste as needed.
Pop it in the fridge overnight to allow the flavors to amplify. If desired, you can even kick up the seasoning the next morning by adding extra of your favorite spices or salt and pepper to taste.
I've made this dip a few times now and I have to admit that it's not a whisk-together-and-faceplant kind of dip. The real deliciousness happens when the herbs, seasoning, and veggies get up close and personal in the fridge. Trust me, it's exponentially better if you let it sit overnight. It's science. Food Science. Do the right thing!
Serve dip alongside all your favorite dippers and watch it disappear!
